It’s eerie watching this now, with Hennig, Miss Elizabeth (who was on the show with Savage earlier that night), and the WCW itself all dead now. This was a classic moment in the short history of WCW. As NWO attacks The Giant at the end, and Sting moves in to make the save.

Match for the cruiserweight title. Great match and a really classic feud that is a great example of how to build a storyline. And I gotta give the WCW announcers credit, they are so much better than the announcing these days. I cant tell you how important it is for the announce team to actually CALL the MATCH. Oh well.. enjoy the match.
